What is Staging? Staging simply put is arranging your house to be at it's best. You want your home to be like a model.... Open, clean, uncluttered, bright, cheery, non-personalized. You want people to walk in and say "wow!, I love this house". "I could live here" This page is about professiona staging and stagers. They are basically interior and exterior decorators that prepare your home to sell. Some are reasonable, some are expensive. A staged home sells faster and for more money usually. But a staged home can not always overcome all faults. Staging creates impact, draws attention away from the ugly couch, shows how the home layout could work for you. Staging downplays old or outdated places in your home by showing that they too can be usable and pretty even though they are old. Professional stagers work several ways. They will come out and give you a bid for them to do all the work, or they will charge you to do an itemized plan of staging yourself. You then can chose to do all of it or a little bit of it. If you pay to get the plan then you should follow it and do it all. Don't bother to call a stager if you think you are going to pick their mind for free and get ideas on how to do it on your own without paying for ideas. They are great being vague. You are just wasting your time and theirs. Here is some Local professional stagers
Remember a home that is clean, updated, and ready to move in sells faster and at a higher price.
