I think if you have the time, truly know what other houses like yours have sold for in the last six months, have knowledge of the disclosures and purchase agreements - then you may want to try it for a few weeks.
Selling by yourself takes knowledge, lots of advertising, being available and being contactable during daylight hours. It takes work to do all the things a real estate agent does, and money to advertise correctly. Sometimes for sale by owner sites make it seem so easy.
